Discover the intersection between faith, loving God, and your daily living through Street Spirituality by leading author and spirituality expert Robert J. Wicks.

Dr. Wicks, author of over 40 books on psychology, spirituality, and personal growth, defines street spirituality as a deep sensitivity to God in our lives. Essentially, street spirituality is based on the fact that living a prayerful life and living an everyday life are one and the same. Throughout this captivating series, Professor Wicks shares stories, lessons and insight from his experiences around the world.

Using his background in the prevention of secondary stress and the integration of psychology and spirituality from a world religion perspective, he helps you understand how to “unlearn” what you think you know about spirituality in order to live a life filled with love and God’s graces. Professor Wicks invites you to examine your own life and unlock your contemplative spirituality by infusing your Catholic faith and identity into your daily life.

It eliminates the romantic or otherworldly notions we sometimes attach to prayer and makes prayer a reality in this world. It connects contemplation with action. Professor Wicks will discuss how at the heart of prayer is a relationship with God and how this relationship has implications for all aspects of life. Specifically, Professor Wicks explains that God’s constant presence is a comfort in the trying times at all times. Living in the here and now is essential to understanding God and all of the graces we receive from Him each day.

In this 2-CD set, originally produced by Ave Maria Press, Professor Wicks will help you understand the power and comfort of praying through difficult times and letting prayer infiltrate all elements of your life.

“Prayer among ministers and outreach providers isn’t rare— its an oddity”

I boldly say… we need to hear more of what Robert Wicks has been given the grace to say to people thirsting to hear it. His is a real voice… open and candid. His voice is made for the audio format that brings his timing and cadence of language to bear in the weight of his words. The one sample I placed in the summary… is all I can give you without adding spoiler alerts… Except for this “He has anointed my head with oil, my cup overflows, goodness and mercy shall follow me… all the days of my life.”
Its my take away from my first listening. Now you know — Listen to this CD he maps well our burdens and he ministers to them with compassion… His only other CD is unavailable. Perhaps he can find a home here.

    2017 Christmas Survey

Presentation was excellent, speakers energy and delivery was great, not “mundane” like some others
