Brian Wheaton was a Master of Wine and one of the world’s top wine experts and teachers. A member of the Association of Wine Educators and the world-famous order of the Chevaliers de Tastevin in Burgundy, 
Brian worked for more than 40 years as a wine buyer, writer, and teacher. Early in his career, he was awarded the prestigious Michael Gordon Clark Wine Trade Scholarship and spent time in the great vineyards of Spain, Portugal, Germany, and France. Brian was a senior wine buyer, Executive Secretary for the Wine & Spirits Association of Great Britain, and a Fellow of the British Bottler’s Institute. Brian ran his own vineyard and ran his own night school, Wine Courses for Adults, at a sixth form college in England.
