Discover why St. Thérèse of Lisieux is, in the words of Pope Pius X, the “greatest saint of modern times.”
When Thérèse Martin died not yet twenty five-years old in the small town of Lisieux, no one could have predicted that the Catholic Church would honor her as a saint and Doctor of the Church. Having lived a modest, secluded life, Thérèse thought of herself merely as a “grain of sand” and called herself the Little Flower. Despite her obscurity during her lifetime, however, her posthumously published autobiography, The Story of a Soul, became a modern spiritual classic and continues to touch the hearts of the faithful worldwide.
Join Carmelite spirituality expert Dr. Keith Egan in exploring the life, works, and legacy of this inspiring saint. These lectures provide invaluable insight into her life and writings. Whether new to or familiar with St. Thérèse, you will be inspired to read her words afresh, discovering layers of meaning within seemingly simple statements.

Excellent
I’ve listened twice to the lectures. Dr. Egan does an excellent job of explaining the major themes of Therese’s life, but adds many interesting facts about her sainted parents, their parenting, the life at home, etc. I highly recommend his lectures for anyone in love with this great saint.

Excellent Introduction to Therese
I had never been interested in Therese before and thought listening to Keith Egan talk about Therese would be the best way of being introduced to her. Now I am excited to read her Story and her correspondence to steep myself in her vision of God and gift to the Church.

His knowledge of Carmel, Carmelite saints, and Carmelite spirituality is immense.
Regarding St. Therese, I am constantly searching for something new, something I did not know before. I enjoyed listening to Keith Egan. His knowledge of Carmel, Carmelite saints, and Carmelite spirituality is immense. I will certainly order Keith Egan’s CD’s (I listen while driving) in the future.

Great source of encouragement
Tending the River Within: It is a great source of encouragement especially when our faith life can use a “new soul lift”.

Summer Survey: July 2017
I was ordained a Carmelite priest in ’65 and, as you may suspect, the Little Flower was one of my favorite Carmelite saints then and now. And I’ve known Keith Egan for decades…and really like the way he presents his materials.
