This course helped me pull so many strands together and fill the gaps in my knowledge and understanding.

The course content was clearly explained and Fr. Massaro’s voice was engaging. I have lived Catholic Social Teaching through my friends and colleagues who were active in the Central America solidarity movement in the 1980’s and Pax Christi actions, plus Network’s Nuns on the Bus advocating for good public policy for poor people. This course helped me pull so many strands together and fill the gaps in my knowledge and understanding.

If you like big government solutions, you will like this course

Fr Massaro never talks about how Catholic Social Teaching should influence our actions. All he talks about is how what programs the government should put in place as if the government should be the arbitrator of our beliefs. So if you believe in the efficiency of the Federal Government to pass laws promoting our faith and not in individuals trying to live holy lives, this is the course for you.
