The spirituality and theology of St. Francis de Sales is vastly under-known and under-appreciated. Dr. Wright’s introduction to Salesian spirituality is a wonderful start to getting to know the Saint and his work; it made me hope for many more programs on Salesian thought.

Excellent historical survey that puts Salesian spirituality in context.

I loved the infusion of spirituality with historical perspective. Since I am not well traveled, and history is not my forte, I am enjoyed learning the tidbits as best I can. Visuals are helpful for me, but I find I do not have the luxury of watching as I listen. To date, I can say that I wish for programs I have purchased in DVD format, that the visuals were stronger….more captivating. For example, let the camera enter the home…let me see the interior of a church…let me see a relic or monastery…,not just as a single image, but as something with life.
